TechLore Forums - Home Entertainment - Video Components I have this problem with my home theater system, when I set it to play a dvd the main menu and everything else is black and white and the screen keeps jumping up and down.. or maybe its just going down and comming from the top again...I dont know what to do I have read the manual and it does not help. I know for sure that I have connected everything correctly. I have another dvd player and everytime I set it to PAL mode it does the same thing, but works fine with NTSC.. I cant seem to find an option that switches the modes either. This happened when something was pressed on the remote, not sure what? It is a DVD/VCR Home Theater SD-V55HT There is a manual online if you google SD-V55HT looks some what the same as what I have (If needed). Please help, thanks in advance. I have owned one for a couple of years. I have had a problem in the past that where I try to update the list of channels, and switch the box off, some of the new and existing channels are deleted, and I have to scan for new channels to get them back. But after a few days the updated list has 'saved' A few weeks ago I did this and it has deleted a lot of radio channels including the ones I normally listen to when the box is switched off. So every time I switch on and and try to listen to my favouries I have to scan for them again and again. So it's getting increasingly annoying as the updated list will not save. It is a Matsui DTR2 Thanks for any help in advance! Ok, this is driving me crazy! :) I have a Mistubishi 52" DLP TV, and it has an HDMI input on the back panel. Trouble is, I cannot figure out how to select it as the source. The on-screen device menu has everything else, such as ANT1, Comp, DVD, camcorder, PC, etc. Everything BUT HDMI. Can someone please tell me what I'm missing? How the heck do I activate this input? (I am attempting to use it for a PS3, if that matters). THANKS! I have a samsung dvd combo.Model dvd v2000.The problem i have is the dvd will not load the new release movies. It shows loading but a message says can't read disc. This only happens with new dvd's.I have repaired tv's and video cassete players, have not worked on dvd players.Any help will be appreciated. Edward I recently bought a LDA-730 DVD/XVID/DIVX player for really cheap and am wondering if it will play 5.1 surround sound. It has Digital Optical Out and Coaxial Optical Out. However, I can't seem to find anything that says it definately plays the 5.1 audio track. Does anyone know? I have always assumed that if it has digital out it will play it. hi My Names John I have had for over a year a prosonic dvd 995 dvd player The player wont load any disks, I think the spin up speed is slow or the lazer is dead. I like this dvd player Because I used it to play data disks, ie mpg and dat files, as this dvd had a menu driven loader. and reconised and played dos format data disks it would displayed a directory list just like a computer but on the TV screen, you could then with the remote controll play what track, mpg or dat file you chose to play. within the pc dos file format and it would auto link the file in that folder. when it stoped working I was not able to replace it as I can no longer buy this model. If you read my profile you will see Im ok to repair Any help or diagrames to get this dvd working again will be apresheated ps cant spell to save my life Hello All The local Church we attend here in is getting a video system and I need to see about getting a video/audio switcher or an inexpensive distribution box, that will have one or two inputs for separate video and audio and at least four outputs to run to monitors in the nursery and the other quiet rooms. You have any ideas? Thanks for your assistance I have a tocom 5503vip cable box. Some of the channels are displaying a flashing letter P and then the channel # with no picture or sound. I never set a parentla control on the box. How do I get this removed or is there a universal code to try? Please help reset this box. I have a Panasonic VCR Model #PV4351. When I press play, I can only see the picture for a split second and then the screen goes blue. If I press fast forward or rewind while it's in play, you can see the picture. Any suggestions? my durabrand portable dvd player remains in standby mode. do anyone have a solution to this problem? |
