Rushil Decor’s New Plant in Visakhapatnam Receives IGBC Green Building Certification, Showcasing Commitment to Sustainable Practices.

Rushil Decor Ltd., a leading manufacturer of MDF boards, has received the Indian Green Building Council’s (IGBC) Green Building certification for its new plant in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. The plant has implemented various eco-friendly measures, including rainwater harvesting, wastewater treatment, energy conservation, and the use of recycled materials. These initiatives have resulted in significant reductions in energy and water consumption, with the facility achieving a 40% reduction in energy consumption and a 30% reduction in water consumption. Additionally, the plant has successfully treated 100% of its wastewater at its sewage treatment plant. The Andhra Pradesh government has also provided a 50% reimbursement incentive for capital expenditure related to green measures. The plant, which spans across 26 acres, utilizes building and energy management systems, CFC-free refrigerants, and heat-resistant roofs to enhance energy performance. The achievement of the IGBC’s Green Building certification highlights Rushil Decor’s commitment to sustainable practices and sets a positive example for other companies in the industry. The company’s shares were up by 0.44% following the announcement, reflecting investor confidence in its green initiatives.
