This brings TPREL’s overall renewables capacity to 7,961 MW as of October 2023, according to a company statement. Increasing Renewable Capacity:
TPREL’s portfolio now includes 3,755 MW projects in various stages of development. Its operating capacity stands at 4,206 MW, consisting of 3,200 MW in solar projects and 1,006 MW in wind projects. The recent addition of 1.4 GW capacity in group captive projects is the result of Power Delivery Agreements (PDA) signed with prominent industries across different sectors.

Collaborations with Industry Giants:
Notable group captive projects signed by TPREL include collaborations with Tata Steel, Tata Motors, Mukand Limited (a Bajaj Group company), and Sanyo Special Steel Manufacturing India Pvt, among others. These partnerships highlight the growing interest of major industries in adopting renewable energy solutions. By leveraging group captive projects, these companies can meet their energy requirements while reducing their carbon footprint.
