Turner & Townsend’s Bogotá Office Achieves LEED Gold Certification, Setting a New Standard in Sustainable Design.

Turner & Townsend, a UK-based construction consultancy, has achieved LEED Gold certification for its office in Bogotá, Colombia, showcasing a strong commitment to sustainability. The office, located at Edificio Nueve 5, stands as one of only 131 gold-certified projects in Colombia and is among just 20 gold-certified projects in the non-retail or hospitality commercial interiors category in the country. Turner & Townsend’s focus on sustainability is evident in its design choices, such as reducing energy consumption by 10% and water usage by 40%, as well as incorporating second-hand lighting fixtures and furniture, and using office chairs made with 50% recycled materials. Real estate director Magally Rojas emphasized the significance of LEED certification as a global recognition of sustainable and human-centric design practices. This achievement positions Turner & Townsend as pioneers in the industry, setting a high standard for their peers in the realm of green building technology.
