Bradford White Corporation Supports Workforce Development in California Through Heat Pump Technology Initiative

Bradford White Corporation, a leading American manufacturer of water heaters, boilers, and storage tanks, is reinforcing its commitment to fostering the workforce of the future by providing in-kind grant funding to the Center for Employment Training (CET). As part of its Industry Forward® initiative, Bradford White is donating nine 50-gallon AeroTherm® heat pump water heaters to CET training centers in northern and southern California. This initiative aims to equip students with essential skills in heat pump technology, preparing them for future opportunities in energy-efficient solutions in California. Through hands-on training and expertise sharing from Bradford White professionals, students at CET will be well-prepared for careers in the evolving energy landscape.

Rebecca Owens, senior manager of communications for Bradford White, highlighted the company’s dedication to supporting organizations that empower communities and nurture skilled trades talent within the United States. By expanding training programs in high-demand, well-paying fields, such as heat pump technology, CET can provide economic advancement opportunities to underrepresented populations. Senobio Aguilera, Instructional Resource Coordinator and Trainer at CET, expressed gratitude for the donation, emphasizing the potential of heat pump technology in enhancing energy efficiency. The placement of these heat pumps at CET schools across California will enable students to gain practical experience in safety, electricity, and equipment maintenance, enhancing their competitiveness in the job market upon graduation.

Bradford White’s collaboration with nonprofit organizations and technical schools underscores the importance of skilled trades in community infrastructure and safety. By supporting workforce development and education programs through strategic grant funding, Bradford White is not only investing in the future workforce but also promoting the significance of industry professionals in building sustainable communities.
